Week 15 - Sweet 16

Yes I know this is the blog for the baby and I have included basketball updates, but the NCAA tournament will be apart of the baby's life in the future. We are just starting the love early with the baby. This week we celebrated a very early holy week and relaxing weekend. This Easter was one of the best because we relaxed. All of our friends who are parents have said to enjoy sleeping in while we still can and that is what we did. Easter Eve services and our loving dog gave us a quiet Easter morning. The rest of the weekend we enjoyed time with our families.

My 32nd birthday on Monday was relaxing as well. After a quick morning at work, I enjoyed the spa afternoon with my mom and dinner at the Melting Pot with my hubby. The baby and my body did let me know that they don't like it when I eat too much at one time. That is so easy to do at a fondue restaurant. I was able to get my cheese, cheese, cheese and should have just stopped there. Adam and I did savor our night out together.

This birthday I did get a memorable gift from my brother. The box was big and heavy. The contents made me laugh and Adam thankful. My brother surveyed his friends and provided me with the pregnancy essentials: A bottle of pickles that serves 45 people, a bottle of olives, another bottle of sliced pickles, strawberry whoppers, and finally strawberry ice cream (oh and an itunes GC to get me relaxed). Adam is saved from any late night runs I might need for those cravings. It was one of the most thoughtful gifts I have received and one that induced some good laughs!

Friday I get to fly to LA for a marathon day of meetings and then hopefully the NCAA game. Later that night and the next day I get to spend time with Jess. We will see what trouble we can get into or what money we can spend on baby stuff...that will fit in my carry-on. Next week will also be my last week at Ann Taylor. I gave my two week notice and everyone understood. Little did I know that their Loft on-line store has maternity clothes. There are a few things I plan on getting with my remaining discount.

Monday the 31st is our 16 week appointment where we get to hear the heartbeat again. 20 weeks we could find out the sex and we still don't think we will. It is still too early to feel the baby but I am waiting for the "butterflies" that might be the little baby. Books say the baby is about 4" long now. Crazy, Crazy, Crazy!

Go Jayhawks is all I have to say for this weekend.
