2nd Birthday Party

It was a Wiggly good time!! Gracie's 2nd birthday theme was The Wiggles. The attendees wore their favorite Wiggle color, enjoyed Wiggles music at the party, and Wiggle themed games like Pin the tail on Wags. Gracie just loved having her friends and family with her at the party.
Here is Gracie and her only living Great-Grandparent, Papa J.
Uncle Brad & Gigi
The day was beautiful, kids were playing around having a wonderful time while the adults socialized and ate Wiggles themed food like hot potatoes, cold spaghetti, fruit salad, and Dorothy's tea. The big highlight of the party was of course the Henry the octopus cake made by Gracie's Aunt Michelle. She out did herself again!!! Thank you so much for celebrating such a special day with our little lady!!!

A Wiggles cake tastes even better in her Wiggles chair with her favorite Abigail.
Nothing like many, many, many helpers for opening presents.
Daddy is fun to run and play with.

We are preparing for Gracie's 2nd birthday

Gracie's birthday theme will be The Wiggles and a party favor was a pirate's/captain's hats for Captain Feathersword. Doesn't she look adorable?!?!

Labor Day weekend

Labor day was full of fun and no labor.

Friday night zoo plans got altered to a fun picnic at City Park. Gracie loved to watch the ducks (actually geese), look at airplanes, and walking around the pond.
Gracie walked around, rode in the wagon and even hitched a ride on shoulders with some make-shift handlebars. Fun for all!!
Gracie and I had our first sleep over at the new/old house with Shawna and the kids. For days after their visit Gracie would keep asking for Abigail & Ian. We got to enjoy some play time, park time, and adult girl talk in the hot tub. We even got Gracie to say godmama to her godmother Shawna.

Here are the sweet kids enjoying the fountains at Street of Southglenn. The kids had so much fun playing in the water with the rings as you can see.

Gracie is starting to know about hair, playing with hair, brushing hair, and making her feelings known if she wants to have her hair up. Here she is trying to get my hair into the cup.

The actual holiday we took a nice hike outside of Golden Gate national park after Gracie's second trip to Casa Bonita. Gracie loved the dive show that included the gorilla and is learning to love skee ball as much as her mommy. For the hike our plan to have her nap during the hike didn't work again, we have now learned, though she does enjoy being in the packpack (Gracie's word for backpack). This trip was even more fun with Gracie's commentary about the objects she was seeing. We of course did have to sing again at times to keep her happy.

Another fun weekend...

The weekend started out with some good fun at the farm. Gracie got to finally experience a crayfish/crawdad personally while even touching some fish. At the farm Gracie just loves to walk around Gracie's pond, trying to bowl on the Wii and look for more and more trains.

We had to of course wear our camo gear at the farm and you can see the wonderful smile that is going to be brighten our future!!

Another year and another hope that CSU would have a good football team. To show our support we were able to go to Ram Jam again. Like last year we were able to see some old friends and more importantly Brian, Michelle, and the boys. It was another fun year of bouncy castles, barrel train ride (which surprisingly she was so scared of and why I had to ride with her), decorating rocks, and just all around fun for even the very tired girl. Gracie supporting the team with the green & gold bows I made her.

The brothers and their youngest. Oh the heat, the misters were needed.

Even the KU graduate supported the local team and had some good fun with her little lady. We love life together!!!

We capped the weekend off with some fun with old high school friends the Longfellows, Hircshs, and Novotnys. The kids were so fun together sitting at the "kids table" before playing the in backyard for hours. We are lucky to be friends with some amazing people for so many years. The stories never end!!! Can't wait for Gracie to experience that in her future.

So far behind but catching up -

We were lucky enough to go to our church picnic after some interesting weather this summer. Gracie of course spent the whole time on the playground. She continues to love to swing/hang from anything possible as you can see from the photo.

The next weekend, Aug 21st, Gracie and I were able to spend a day with Shawna and the kids at Pirates Cove. Man is that place busy though Gracie is going to love the place as she gets older. It is amazing how at times she can be adventurous enough to do things on her own but when there are a lot of people she is more shy for sure.
