The excitement is starting to get to more people, so is the news. My mom decided to start her knitting projects early so we picked out some green & yellow yarn for a snuggler (I think that is what it is called) and teal and yellow yarn for a blanket. She will be busy the next couple months. Too bad she can't start on some really cute baby clothes until the child is born. There are so many cute girl outfits to knit!!
One of our goddaughter's parents, and some of our best friends, learned the news this weekend. Shawna thought there might be a chance we were pregnant. She is due in April, our other friend Melissa is due in June and then me in Sept. Over beers this past summer the three of us talked about how we could be pregnant at the same time. Our beer induced predictions didn't get the order of due dates right.
Adam and I started to talk about baby names this week. There are advantages and disadvantages to having a baby after a lot of friends. Disadvantage: many baby names are taken and we don't want to duplicate names (especially if we will see them often). It isn't horrible to do that, Mike's are everywhere, it was our choice. Advantage: second-hand baby items. Recycling gently used baby items, for a baby that won't know the difference, is perfect. We have such wonderful friends!
March 3rd we have our twelve week ultrasound and on March 4th we have the triple screen testing. Next week will be full of excitement and anticipation of the test results. We will let you know how things turn out and attach the newest photo of Sweet P. Once we have the appointments we are going to start telling folks and direct them to this blog. The excitement continues!!
