February 4th we had our first Dr. appt. We learned more from the Dr. on what I can't do during the coming months, what the future holds, and tests that are coming. More informed, Adam got to experience his wife in a whole new light. Little does he know, this is only the beginning! The Dr. stated all was looking good.
Finally to the moment of truth. As an analytical couple, we have been cautiously excited and I had put in my mind to not get excited until we saw the heartbeat. The tech dimmed the lights for mood lighting, oh and to see things better. They have a nice screen over our head to give us better view and allow us to be next to each other. Then out of nowhere was a little ray of light, the size of an almond 1/2" in length, with a tiny moving center. The heart was beating strong. A few clicks later on the keyboard we were able to hear the fast heartbeat of an 8 week old baby. How can something so tiny make such an impression on your heart? Miracles do happen.
We are still trying grasp what we had seen. The past week has been hard on me, which is a good sign for the baby. We hope the nausea decreases with a little help from the Dr. The coming months are going to continue with excitement. This is a rollercoaster we are going to enjoy. Photo info: the baby's head is on the left almost looking up at it's hands.
