Fun Moments with family Oct 22-24

Gracie continues to grow and mimic your actions or words. She is becoming a good little mommy to her dolly or Elmo. After we eat most nights she goes into the basement to feed Elmo in the highchair. Wiggles continue to be her favorite music though we are branching out to a few other cds that give me a little more sanity too. Here is Gracie playing with her very chatty baby on her belly like I do with her. It was such a precious moment.

Our new day care person Beth is just amazing. Gracie is so excited to spend the day with her and her two children Aaron and Madison. She takes after me by not wanting to answer a question unless she feels like it or knows the answer 100%. She got her first shiner while playing at the park, I am surprised it actually took this long.

One night at dinner Gracie really wanted to sit in Bapa's lap, which isn't allowed, so she tried to push her seat right next to him. It was so super cute, they were like glue that night.

She now likes to play with her play dough! Here she was cutting fish out to show Uncle Brad and his fish in the photo.

Aunt Joyce & Uncle Joe came for a visit, and I couldn't believe I forgot to take a photo together. Here is one great photo with Aunt Joyce. For a week after they left she kept asking for Uncle Joyce and Uncle Joe, yes I wrote that right.

My new favorite thing is her singing that we get to experience. She loves singing more and more everyday. When she asks you to sing a song it usually is the first line of the song..."Mama sing, ba ba black sheep have you any wool, yes sir, yes sir, three bags full" She also likes to ask you to sing "one more time" with showing you her finger.

Phil is 40...Oct 2

Our best friend's had a celebration for Phil's 40th birthday. Gracie got to play with her favorite people, when you ask her any day who she is going to see it almost always is Abigail and Ian. Gracie got to run and play with so many different friends.
Mmmm cupcakes!!! She prefers not to use her hands much with cupcakes, too funny.

My parents pack rat tendencies, which I have a little of too, did come in handy for Phil. He had been dreaming about lawn darts. They are outlawed because of the injuries they caused though Phil wanted them so badly. We were able to act like the birthday fairy to provide him with our old family darts...it was one of the happiest moments I have seen him express. Too funny to bring so much joy for him. Happy Birthday Old Man!!

Fall Fun for our Cutie

We decided to start some family fall fun festivities at Miller Farms. As it turns out, it was too expensive for our test and a two year olds memory. The great thing is that outside the actual pay area was a free area that had a small maze, tractors, and hay. Gracie had such a great time while her folks saved some dough. Gracie was lucky to spend some time with Gigi & Grandpa. Grandpa got to let Gracie play with fish that she thinks are pretty interesting.

Actual Birthday celebration

Here is a photo of Gracie with her first official flowers, that weren't given to us on her actual birthday.

We were able to celebrate Gracie's actual birthday as a family with Henry the Octopus. If we couldn't find Gracie that day you knew she was in the dining room looking/trying to eat Henry from her birthday cake.

I was able to enjoy a day off of work to spend it with Gracie. After the butterfly pavilion we headed to Gunther Toody's for lunch. We had a great day together before Adam came to the house for dinner. The highlight was eating Henry's head, very weird I to say I know. Here are some photos of the enjoyment and the multiple times we sang Happy Birthday for her to blow the candles out.

2nd Birthday Party

It was a Wiggly good time!! Gracie's 2nd birthday theme was The Wiggles. The attendees wore their favorite Wiggle color, enjoyed Wiggles music at the party, and Wiggle themed games like Pin the tail on Wags. Gracie just loved having her friends and family with her at the party.
Here is Gracie and her only living Great-Grandparent, Papa J.
Uncle Brad & Gigi
The day was beautiful, kids were playing around having a wonderful time while the adults socialized and ate Wiggles themed food like hot potatoes, cold spaghetti, fruit salad, and Dorothy's tea. The big highlight of the party was of course the Henry the octopus cake made by Gracie's Aunt Michelle. She out did herself again!!! Thank you so much for celebrating such a special day with our little lady!!!

A Wiggles cake tastes even better in her Wiggles chair with her favorite Abigail.
Nothing like many, many, many helpers for opening presents.
Daddy is fun to run and play with.

We are preparing for Gracie's 2nd birthday

Gracie's birthday theme will be The Wiggles and a party favor was a pirate's/captain's hats for Captain Feathersword. Doesn't she look adorable?!?!

Labor Day weekend

Labor day was full of fun and no labor.

Friday night zoo plans got altered to a fun picnic at City Park. Gracie loved to watch the ducks (actually geese), look at airplanes, and walking around the pond.
Gracie walked around, rode in the wagon and even hitched a ride on shoulders with some make-shift handlebars. Fun for all!!
Gracie and I had our first sleep over at the new/old house with Shawna and the kids. For days after their visit Gracie would keep asking for Abigail & Ian. We got to enjoy some play time, park time, and adult girl talk in the hot tub. We even got Gracie to say godmama to her godmother Shawna.

Here are the sweet kids enjoying the fountains at Street of Southglenn. The kids had so much fun playing in the water with the rings as you can see.

Gracie is starting to know about hair, playing with hair, brushing hair, and making her feelings known if she wants to have her hair up. Here she is trying to get my hair into the cup.

The actual holiday we took a nice hike outside of Golden Gate national park after Gracie's second trip to Casa Bonita. Gracie loved the dive show that included the gorilla and is learning to love skee ball as much as her mommy. For the hike our plan to have her nap during the hike didn't work again, we have now learned, though she does enjoy being in the packpack (Gracie's word for backpack). This trip was even more fun with Gracie's commentary about the objects she was seeing. We of course did have to sing again at times to keep her happy.
